Typography project

Today the freshman E Communications students finished a project on typography. I myself was personally horrified by the lack of tolerance for using the best font, comic sans. I'm kidding this was a serious project, there's no time for comic sans. The entire point of the project was to use a serif font and label its parts, like an anatomy poster in a biology classroom. Here is my end result.
Oh yeah we also had to use our names for the project.
...

The Project itself states what I've learned about typefaces and their anatomies. I mean, look at all these parts!

Color scheme logo project

Today we have done a project based around color schemes and their applications in the world around us. The e9 Graphic design freshmen have been tasked with taking different color schemes and finding logos that fit them. For example, for a monochromatic color scheme, I chose to use the A&W logo because it uses multiple shades of brown, and the animal planet logo for it's multiple shades of green.
Image result for monochromatic logo
As I just explained, there are multiple shades of brown. This is probably because A&W is a root beer company, and the logo looks like root beer.

The multiple shades of green for this logo, along with the letters being uneven, are supposed to give the channel a "wild" look

The logos I chose for the warm color scheme was the shell logo and the mcdonalds logo

yeah these ones pretty obvious why I put it here. red is supposed to be a color of urgency, making people buy fast and leave. the yellow that goes with it is just there for the logo's color scheme

Analogous color schemes lead to quite a few logos, but the bp logo and the ocean spray logo were probably the best examples
As you can see, the yellow, yellow-green, and green are all there for this logo, and it gives an energy friendly feel, despite the fact its an oil company.
The multiple shades of blue make the logo look... well, like ocean spray

For cool colored logos, I chose the dropbox logo because it's blue and the Starbucks logo because it's green and black.
Yeah. It's blue. it looks like something tech-y? is techy a word? well my spellchecker says no

'ey come get your coffee 'here!

Ok, two color schemes left and the next one is complementary. I chose the Firefox and Krispy Kreme logo. ugh. just spelling that the way the logo is spelled feels like a crime against my sanity
The blue and orange gives a yin-and-yang look to the logo.
The logo pops out as it looks like its from decades ago (it is)

Last but not least, we have triad colors. I went with both the superman and Burger King logos.
Unfortunately, at the time I write this, there is a glitch in the website making me unable to post images. oh well.

Color Wheel Adobe Illustrator Project

Color Wheel Adobe Illustrator Project

Over the past few days, the freshman graphic design e-comm students, including myself, have been working on our first project on adobe illustrator, which was to make a color wheel. This task was very simple, and I hope the end product looks ok.

This is a color wheel. it has colors in a wheel form. no surprise.
